The following’ how to guide’ should be used to set up your Buckaroo braces.

You can attach braces to your new or old Buckaroo tool belt with or without bags and frogs already attached.
Please be mindful to remove any tools that may hinder access to the hardware loops on the belt before you start.
Step 1
Lay belt on a flat surface, hardware facing upward with easy access to the (3) metal loops on the top edge of the tool belt.

Step 2
Removing the braces from the packaging, undo the webbing leaving the polymer trislides in place as per the image.

Step 3
Looking at the leather ‘Y’ junction on the braces, start with the shorter webbing strap at the bottom of the ‘Y’’. First, pass the end of webbing through the central metal loop from the underside and out the top. Then pass the webbing back through the plastic trislide. Buckaroo recommends having 100mm of webbing loose at the top of the trislide, we will use this later to refine the fit.

Step 4
Before affixing the (2) remaining front webbing straps, fasten the tool belt to the body. This will assist with fitting the front straps. The belt should be worn on the lumbar, not on the hips.

Step 5
As the back strap is already fixed, bring the 2 front straps over the shoulders - be cautious to not twist the straps. As with the rear strap, pass the front webbing straps through the back (closest to you) of the metal loop and out the front, apply light tension upwards, and pass them through the polymer trislide. The braces should still feel loose at this stage.
Step 6
The ideal fit for the braces will place the leather ‘Y’ section towards the top of the wearer's back. With the belt still worn on the body, estimate how much adjustment is needed (up or down) on the rear strap to position the leather ‘Y’ correctly. Remove the belt and adjust the back strap as required.

Step 7
Put the belt back on, check the leather ‘Y’ position, repeat step 6 if needed. Lastly tighten/loosen the front straps as necessary to have the belt sit level and in the correct position.
Step 8
Connect the chest strap, adjust accordingly & have a great day!
Notes:
1. Buckaroo braces are designed to further support the belt, they are not designed to have the belt slung from your shoulders around your hips. Proper belt fit is a necessity. Tool belts should be worn higher than a casual belt. Buckaroo suspenders add another layer of lower back protection. They also provide an area to clip pencils, phones and other accessories too.
2. Once your braces are dialled in, they should need minimal if any further adjustment. Webbing straps can be trimmed with a razor-sharp cutting tool and burned with a lighter to eliminate fraying.
3. If you are wanting to dial the straps in with a small amount of adjustment, we recommend using a pencil or pen to mark the webbing. This way you can adjust straps and have a baseline reference point.
