Buckaroo sizing is original and tailored to our Tool Belt design. A Buckaroo Tool Belt is to be worn higher than a casual belt therefore pants or shorts size does not translate exactly.

A Buckaroo Tool Belt is more akin to a weightlifter’s belt, not a casual belt. It is designed around using your larger abdominal muscles to hold the weight of your tools and stabilise the spine when moving throughout the day.
Step 1
To measure yourself for a Buckaroo Tool Belt, we recommend using a tape measure or flexible seamstress tape whilst wearing your day-to-day summer work attire.

Step 2
You will take a measurement around the lumbar which is the point between your waist and your hips, aiming for approximately the naval (belly button). Wrap the tape measure or seamstress tape around the body, keeping the tape on a horizontal plane and overlap it at the front. To take the most accurate measurement you need to be relaxed. Standing upright, take in a full breath and exhale, pinch the tape together and take your measurement where the tape meets at the front.

Step 3
In millimetres or inches (“), match your measurement to the size chart below.

When looking at the chart given, the lower number represents the first notch (smallest), and the last number represents the final hole (largest). For example, a Buckaroo 30 has a measurement of 780mm (notch 1) and 900mm (notch 5). This means the smallest adjustment is 780mm and largest is 900mm. We currently have 5 notches in the Buckaroo belt tip, meaning that the middle hole (notch 3) on this Buckaroo 30 is 840mm. You should aim for a belt where your measurement lands closest to the middle notch.

Choosing the appropriate sized Buckaroo Tool Belt will allow for appropriate leather stretch and room for added layers. In the case of being in between sizes, think about how you best work. Do you have long extended seasons where jumpers or layers are required to keep you warm? Perhaps you want to get the next size up, so that you are on the second notch to start and have 3 notches in front of you to allow for layering.
An example would be if I measure 920mm. This sits within a 32 size and 34 size range. Once a layer of clothing is added, a 32 becomes quickly too small, so therefore a 34 size should be selected.
