CHOOSING YOUR TOOL BELT SIZE
Buckaroo tool belt sizing is original and tailored to our original products; it does not translate to any other tool belt on the market or your typical casual belt sizing. A Buckaroo Tool Belt is to be worn higher than a casual belt therefore pants or shorts size does not translate exactly.
A Buckaroo Tool Belt is more akin to a weightlifter’s belt, not a casual belt. It is designed around using your larger abdominal muscles to hold the weight of your tools and stabilise the spine when moving throughout the day. To measure yourself for a Buckaroo Tool Belt, we recommend using a tape measure or flexible seamstress tape whilst wearing your day-to-day summer work attire.
You will take a measurement around the lumbar which is the point between your waist and your hips, aiming for approximately the naval (belly button). Wrap the tape measure or seamstress tape around the body, keeping the tape on a horizontal plane and overlap it at the front. To take the most accurate measurement you need to be relaxed. Standing upright, take in a full breath and exhale, pinch the tape together and take your measurement where the tape meets at the front.
In millimetres (mm), match your measurement to the size chart below.

Please note that sizing charts have been rounded to the nearest 10mm value. We acknowledge that everybody is different in shape, size and statue. CHOOSING YOUR CASUAL / UNDER BELT SIZE
When purchasing a Buckaroo leather uniform (casual) belt we recommend using your standard pant size for accurate fitting.
The most accurate way to determine your belt size is to thread a flexible tape measure through the belt loops of your pants (as you would with a belt) and mark the spot where the tape reaches exactly one time around your hip. Remember to put on a pair of pants which fits you well and represents what you plan to wear. Note, that the thickness of the pants material can influence the measurements.
Don’t have a seamstress tape or flexible tape measure? – No Problem. You can use any string, thread or cord, thread through the belt loops, mark the spot where it goes all around your waist or hip exactly one time, and then measure this distance with a regular tape measure.
You can also get your belt size with your current belt simply use a measuring tape to measure the length from the inner end of the buckle to the hole which fits you most comfortably - it will likely be the spot to show the most wear and tear. Buckaroo uniform belts refer to centre notch (hole) for size. Our Buckaroo leather uniform belt has 5 notches total. No matter if it’s a Buckaroo belt or otherwise, always aim for the centre notch.
